Six arrested for cocaine possession
Five adults and one juvenile found with narcotic at Route 35 motel room
A criminal investigation led to the arrest of six people at a local motel Wednesday evening, Ocean Township Police Department announced in a written news release.
Five people were charged with cocaine possession after detectives observed narcotics activity at a Super 8 Motel room on Route 35, officials said.
They include Karim S. Taylor, 34 of Neptune City, Seana Jones, 23 of Asbury Park, Santell Washington, 35 of Asbury Park, Ramonna Whittaker, 32 of Tinton Falls, Marina Sviridenko, 28 of Toms River, and a 16-year-old female from Asbury Park, who also was charged with hindering apprehension.

On September 28, 2016 at approximately 10:15 pm members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau were conducting an investigation at the Super 8 Motel. The investigation revealed narcotic activity at a particular room. Detectives made contact with the occupants of the room and observed narcotics. There were five adults and one juvenile in the room. The adults were placed under arrested and transported to the station for processing. The juvenile was taken into protective custody and transported to the station as well.
The juvenile was processed and turned over to a parent and her case was remitted to the Monmouth County Family Court. The five adults were processed and released on a summons pending a future court appearance.
The investigation was conducted by Det. Sgt. Gregory Tongring, and Detectives Michael Legg, Bryan Morgan, Jesse Orbach, Raheem Carter and Gregory Martone.
