Sixth Annual Asbury Agile Early Bird Offer
Limited Tickets Available Through Friday for Oct. 7 event
Asbury Agile organizers announced Thursday afternoon that they will offer discounts through Friday for the 2016 conference to be held on Oct. 7 at The Asbury.
Coordinated as an informal forum for web, mobile, tech and startup professionals and students, the annual event has rotated its location throughout Asbury Park since it 2011 inception.
“Each year we try to mix things up by featuring a different venue in Asbury Park,” the organizers said in a written news statement. “This year we’re amped to call the new The Asbury hotel our home for Asbury Agile.”
The event is a collaborative effort between Kevin Fricovsky of Monty Lounge Industries and Bret Morgan of Cowerks [shown at right].
“The event is a laid back, informal day for everyone to share and learn new ideas, hang out with old friends, and make new ones,” the men say. “We’re extremely lucky to be a part of the great and growing tech community here at the Jersey Shore.”
The often sold out symposium attracts over 150 people, of which 10 percent are high school students and their educators – who are given gratis tickets.
According to their website, “Asbury Agile is less about agile methodology and more about being an agile, well rounded, nimble professional. Topics range across disciplines and the intimate event allows for open and informal discussions.”
Thus far, the Oct. 7 seminar speakers list includes:
Jonnie Hallman Founder, Cushion
John Henry Entrepreneur & VC, Cofound Harlem & AREA
Lisa Luo Mobile Engineer, Kickstarter
Jonny McLaughlin Director of Engineering, GIPHY
Mona Soni Director of Technology, Dow Jones / The Wall Street Journal
Cap Watkins VP of Design, Buzzfeed
The discounted tickets includes conference admission, breakfast and lunch, an event T-shirt and admission to the after party event. College students also receive a discounted rate.
