Being held from 11 a.m .to 2 p.m. Jan 27 at St. Stephen AME Zion Church, located at 1001 Springwood Avenue, the event will give prospective residents a chance to learn about the income requirements and other qualifications for the units set to come on line beginning in 2019.

Participating agencies will include the Asbury Park Housing Authority, whose Boston Way rehabilitation project is now underway; the Michaels Corporation who will off rentals in its Renaissance Village homes; and Interfaith Neighbors, whose Parkview AP townhomes [formerly known as Turf Club] will offer homebuyers an adjacent rental income property.

The session is open to all, while preferential treatment will be given to those who previously resided in the Boston Way, organizers said. Credit, mortgage and expungement counselors will be on hand.

For more information, contact Councilwoman Yvonne Clayton at 732-710-6415, Asbury Park Community Action Network’s Rev. Erinzer Johnson at 732-774-4010 or George Corbin at 732-361-0952.
