Spring Bazaar in time for Mother’s Day
Bazaar extends to Saturday nights throughout June
Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Spring Bazaar may be just the ticket for that last minute gift.
The event runs from noon to 6 p.m. tomorrow in the city’s historic Convention Hall’s Grand Arcade, located at 1300 Ocean Ave, according to an organizer’s press release.
The bazaar is a vendor’s market comprised of 45 local artisans and crafters selling everything from art, vintage and handmade items to jewelry, crafts, home goods and natural products.
Live music, food and the Anchor’s Bend beer garden complete the showcase.
The Vive L’Acoustica music lineup includes:
•Joe Cirotti – Singer/guitarust for the nationally touring rock trio Only Living Boy
•Ron Santee – Lead singer of local buzz band and rock n roll tour d’ force The Battery Electric
•Emily Grove – Alt-Folk Singer songwriter and winner of The Asbury Music Award for Best Female Acoustic Act two years in a row
•Nick Cucci – One half of the bombastic indie blues-rock band Gay Guy/Straight Guy
•Paul Roseveir – Now an accomplished solo singer songwriter, Roseveir was the front man for two of Jersey’s biggest bands in the last decade — The Blakes and the Readymade Breakup
•Jeff Plate – one of Jersey’s most accomplished performers, producers and song-writers who stared in Mothermania, Low Flying Jets and Sikamor Rooney
•Chris Brown – Asbury’s favorite singing bartender who evokes the sound & vibe of the space where city meets the sea
•Justine Hudak – Local acoustic singer songwriter and co-owner of the city-based handmade jewelry co. Luna Rayne
Sponsored by the Asbury Park Boardwalk, The Anchor’s Bend, The Beach Bar, Arcade Radio, and Yelp New Jersey, the Bazaar’s featured vendors include handmade jewelry by Ashley Dilger Designs and Salted Gems Jewelry; natural beauty products by Big Spoon Little Spoon Naturals and Shear Revival; vintage goods from Nicole Atkins and Composite Shop; home goods and décor by Lovely Little Plants and Mavis; art by Blur Revision and Derwood Paint Co.; handmade clothing and accessories by Forage Workshop and Sirena & The Sea; children’s clothing by Life is Love and Land of Pines; and organic snacks from She’s Got Balls.
This year, organizers will extend the showcase. Every Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m. throughout the month of June vendors will return before a back drop of live music, DJs, games, food and drinks to the Grand Arcade and Anchor’s Bend promenade.
