Starving Artist restaurant collecting aid for fire victims
Apartments and businesses were destroyed by blaze
The Starving Artist restaurant on Olin Street in Ocean Grove is collecting financial contributions and donations of household goods to help those displaced by a multi-alarm fire on Main Avenue Friday night that destroyed several businesses, a home and seven apartments.
Starving Artist owner Arnold Teixeira said the restaurant has been coordinating efforts with the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association, the Ocean Grove Fire Department and other local organizations to provide relief.

The Starving Artist will be accepting donations, financial or otherwise, for the victims of the Main Avenue fire. We will coordinate efforts with the Ocean Grove Fire Department and other local institutions to be sure that 100% of the donation go directly to the victims. IF YOU ARE A VICTIM, please let us know of any specific needs and we will attempt to get you in touch with the right people who will be able to help.
The Staving Artist is located at 47 Olin Street in Ocean Grove. The restaurant is open every day except Wednesday. Hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.
The businesses destroyed or damaged by the fire included Village Kloset, Yvonne’s Café, Smuggler’s Cove, Fusion Jewelry and Barbaric Bean Coffee Roasters.
