State Officials Honor Asbury Park Locals
Fashion Show Fundraiser Held In Support of Recreation Programs
It was an afternoon that brought State and Local officials together to walk the runway in support of Asbury Park’s recreation programs.
Donning their best summer apparel, everyone from Sen Vin Gopal, Assembly Member Joann Downey and Eric Houghtaling to Councilwoman Yvonne Clayton and Sgt. Eugene Dello, took their turn glamming it up for an estimated audience of 100.
The three state dignitaries awarded Proclamations to Council Jesse Kendle, who heads the Recreation Committee, and to Good Hope Baptist Church Pastor David Harrington, who was being honored for over 20 years of service in the community.
The event also featured music by Tyron McAllister Jazz Band and fare by Frank’s Deli and Kula Cafe, with support from Crust and Crumble, The Complex and MOGO Korean Fusion Tacos.
