SUNRISE COASTAL PROPERTIES OPENS ON MAIN AVENUE
Broker turns owner and takes over space she worked in for three years
A new real estate office has opened at 49 Main Ave but many will know the familiar face.
Carol Dunleavy, a seven year Ocean Grove resident, has opened Sunrise Coastal Properties in the very office she worked in for three years.
The former Vail Realty broker said she left the company after her former bosses sold the business. Once the new owners decided to vacate the space, Dunleavy got a call from the property owner asking if she wanted the space.
“I’d asked him back in January that if the space ever came available to let me know,” Dunleavy said.
At 5:30 p.m. Friday the 2015 and 2016 NJ Realtors Circle of Excellence Sales Awards recipient will celebrate the grand opening of her first entrepreneurial endeavor.
“My goal is to provide a level of service to my clients that makes them so happy that they feel compelled to introduce me to their friends and family,” Dunleavy said.
The name of the business was born from her visit to coastal community.
“We rented a house seven years ago and I would go fishing early in the morning and watch the sunrise,” she said. “I had the name in my head forever.”
Dunleavy’s past real estate experience was in West Virginia and Maryland for five years before she and her husband purchased a home in Ocean Grove, she said. She said they were attracted to Ocean Grove because of its historic nature, especially after spending 10 years successfully saving a Civil War battlefield in the lower Shenandoah Valley.
She has listed and/or sold and handled rentals for numerous homes in Ocean Grove, Asbury Park, Bradley Beach, Lavallette, Neptune Township, Ocean, and Middletown.
Today the former metal gray decor has been transformed into a high-end beach themed office with painting from her late father’s art collection adorning the walls.
“I am tremendously excited that I am able, at this point in my life, to have my own company and do things the way I know will work in best interests of my clients,” she said. “I am so grateful to the community for their support and I look forward to many years of servicing the real estate market in Ocean Grove and surrounding communities.”
