The Asbury Debuts Ice Skating
Saturday noon to 8 p.m. Grand Opening in support of Tomorrows Children's Fund
In just two hours the word rapidly spread – The Asbury, the city’s newest hotel and entertainment venue would be offering ice skating in support of Tomorrow’s Children’s Fund.
The social media post was met with a burst of supporters, many of which have been vetting the possibility of an ice skating rink within city limits.
Located behind Asbury Hall, the hotel’s event space shared with music photographer Danny Clinch’s Transparent exhibit, organizers will offer skating from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday.
The event serves as the ice skating rink’s grand opening, which will remain open weekends until the weather warms at the Fifth Avenue venue.
Raffle tickets are $2, $5 for three and $10 for 10. The raffles will be held on the hour from 2 to 6 p.m., with prizes to include two free skate sessions and/or free skating until season’s end. DJ. Mike Merrell will be spinning from 3 to 6 p.m. and hot chocolate, snacks and adult beverages will be available.

Tomorrows Children’s Fund is a Haackensack based nonprofit aimed at helping children diagnosed with cancer and serious blood disorders.
