This week’s Friday Foto comes from the Ocean Grove photographer who started it all, Chris Spiegel, our first Friday Foto feature whose shot of The Great Auditorium with lightning striking in the background was an instant hit with Asbury Park Sun readers.
This recent shot taken by Spiegel is of the Casino building at the foot of Asbury’s south-end boardwalk.
Spiegel tells Asbury Park Sun,“For this shot, I really wanted to capture as much texture and details as possible. The Casino is such a unique and iconic place, but this building has been shot by pretty much every person that has a camera in Asbury, so I really wanted to make it stand out. I processed it in a way that really brings out the grit and texture of the copper and the clouds in the sky as well. I also made sure the full gamut of gray tones between true black and true white were also included.”
