Street performer guidelines and metered parking on agenda
The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to meet Wednesday in council chambers at City Hall. A closed executive session will start at 4:30 p.m., followed by a public workshop session at 6:30 p.m. and a regular council meeting at 7 p.m.
Public participation takes place at the beginning of the regular session meeting. Items on the agenda include:
• Executive session discussions for contract negotiations with iStar for a boutique hotel on Fifth Avenue, temporary use of restroom trailers and surface parking lots.
• The Council will also discuss the Lakehouse Music agreement; the Deal Lake Dredging project; personnel matters; and pending litigation in executive session.
• During the regular session meeting resolutions votes include the Fifth Avenue boutique hotel agreement and liquor license; iStar Financial’s temporary parking lots and temporary restroom trailers along the waterfront; committee and labor counsel appointments; and the Lakehouse Music agreement.
• An ordinance to amend the Street Performers guidelines.
• An ordinance addressing foreclosed vacant and abandoned properties care and maintenance.
• Ordinances setting salary and compensation for union employees.
• An ordinance establishing an easement with relation to the Deal Lake Dredging Project.
• The public will have a chance to make comments or ask questions during the final votes to establish metered parking in the municipal parking lot and at the Bangs Avenue parking garage; and the Fifth Avenue boutique hotel PILOT agreement.
