The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to hold a workshop meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in council chambers at City Hall.

A public participation session is scheduled to take place near the end of the meeting, after comments from city officials. Items on the agenda for the meeting include:

• Special events approvals for APFI Thursday night Movies on the Beach, a Springwood Park Tuesday night Community Movie Night, and Surfrider Foundation’s Asbury Park Family Day at the Beach.

• Changes to special event fees to allow exercise programs along the beach will be presented by Tom Gilmour, Director of Commerce.

• A presentation by T&M Associates re the Sunset Foot Bridge replacement, the Wastewater Treatment Plant roof and retaining wall work, and replacing waterfront trash receptacles.

• Director of Property Improvement Rob McKeon will discuss the Rental Licensing Program.

• Deputy Police Chief Anthony Salerno will discuss a stop sign proposal for Sunset Avenue as well as metered parking along Heck Street between Cookman and Lake avenues.
