Citizen presentation on marijuana legalization on agenda
The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to hold a workshop meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in council chambers at City Hall.
A public participation session is scheduled to take place near the end of the meeting, after comments from city officials. Items on the agenda for the meeting include:
• Special event fee amendments by Tom Gilmour, Director of Commerce
• Establishing a no-parking zone along the 1200 block of Monroe Avenue by Deputy Chief Anthony Salerno
• New lighting along the boardwalk and an emergency generator for the Wastewater Treatment Plant by engineer Christine Ballard of T&M Associates
• Cross River Fiber request to install a fiber optic cable to an existing utility pole or conduit in the public right-of-way by Brody Business Development
• Randy Thompson presentation regarding decriminalizing the use of cannabis
• Encroachment and drainage easement requests for Cookman Avenue and Bond Street, respectively
