Boardwalk Lighting, Arcade games, & Sunset/Memorial Drive stop sign
The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to meet Wednesday in council chambers at City Hall. A closed executive session will start at 4:30 p.m., followed by a public workshop session at 6:30 p.m. and the regular council meeting at 7 p.m.
Public participation takes place at the beginning of the regular meeting. Items on the agenda include:
• Personnel matters regarding the Director of Communications position, contract negotiations for the Bradley Cove appraisal, a video camera agreement with the Board of Education and a property transfer between the Michaels Group and Interfaith Neighbors. Litigation discussions include workers compensation cases and the Famularo disciplinary proceeding.
• During the regular session the City Council will honor the Asbury Park High School Debate Team.
• Consent agenda items include votes for special event activities and an emergency declaration for the immediate enforcement of a stop sign at the intersection of Sunset Avenue and Memorial Drive.
• Individual Resolution votes include a grant application with the NJ Department of Transportation for Sunset Avenue, boardwalk lighting project, and special event fee changes.
• Ordinance votes include the introduction of amendments to the Traffic guidelines.
• The public will have a chance to make comments and ask questions before a final vote to make changes to handicapped parking areas, the governance of arcade games, and the Sunset Avenue and Memorial Drive additional stop sign due to take effect Friday.
