Bradley Cove, Route 71 repavement & liquor license renewals on agenda
The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to hold a workshop meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday in council chambers at City Hall, located at 1 Municipal Plaza.
The public participation session takes place near the end of the meeting, after comments from city officials. Items on the agenda for the meeting include:
• A special events approval for an inaugural Women’s Weekend to be held Sept 17 to 20 along the boardwalk and beach. The event will highlight women owned businesses throughout Asbury Park and Ocean Grove as well as educational workshops on health, financial and retirement issues. Entertainment includes a motorcycle show and beach party. Vendor fee is $100 and admission is slated to be $50.
• City Planner Michele Alonso is scheduled to hold a public hearing on the Monmouth County Park Municipal Open Space grant program for the Bradley Cove property along the north beach area waterfront.
• Alonso will also present the concept development plans for the Monmouth County Route 71 pavement rehabilitation project.
• Asbury Park Fire Department Chief Kevin Keddy will discuss participation in the Monmouth County Technical Operations Taskforce, which helps with obtaining regional grants and recovering costs in FEMA approved emergency events.
• The City Council will consider the list of 2015-2016 liquor license renewals
• And, City Clerk Cindy Dye will present initiative petitions.
