The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to meet Thursday in council chambers at City Hall.
A closed executive session will start at 4:30 p.m., followed by a public workshop session at 6:30 p.m. and the regular council meeting at 7 p.m.
Public participation takes place at the beginning of the regular meeting. Items on the agenda include:
• Executive session discussions include personnel matters regarding the City Manager and Director of Communications positions as well as Public Works Employees and Code Enforcement Department.
• Contract negotiations include those with the Lake Group, Carter Sackman, a shared service agreement for the Monmouth County Dispatch Services, and a PILOT request for the 700 Cookman development.
• Litigation discussions continue around the Famulara disciplinary proceedings.
• The Regular Session meeting includes proclamations recognizing Second Baptist Church’s 130th Anniversary and Cathedral International Asbury Park.
• Regular session routine votes include special event approvals, a $114,972 Social Service grant acceptance from the state’s Division of Mental Health Services and bids for solid waste and recyclable material collections.
• Individual routine matter votes include special items pertaining to the 2015 budget, the purchase of four police vehicles, the adoption of a Complete Streets Policy, financing for the Renaissance Village project, the Boston Way Village project, and the awarding of a bid for the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
• A first reading of vacating two paper streets, Lake Court and an alley along Sewall Avenue, will be presented.
