Food Truck Court, parking and tax abatements on agenda
The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to meet Wednesday in council chambers at City Hall. A closed executive session will start at 4:30 p.m., followed by a public workshop session at 6:30 p.m. and the regular council meeting at 7 p.m.
Public participation takes place at the beginning of the regular meeting. Items on the agenda include:
Executive session discussions include contract negotiations and personnel matters.
During the regular session the City Council will consider approvals for Madison Marquette’s proposed Food Truck Court, Lakehouse owner Jon Leidersdorff’s tax abatement request, and iStar Financial’s proposed temporary parking lots along the waterfront redevelopment area.
Ordinance introductions include a tax exemption agreement for 210 Fifth Avenue Venture Urban Renewal for the proposed 110-room hotel and the creation of three 30-minute parking spaces along Prospect and Bangs avenues.
A public hearing will be held on changes to the city’s property maintenance guidelines to establish vacant property registration and fees.
