Madison Marquette Fourth Avenue Pavilion and Interfaith Neighbor's Turf Club Changes on Agenda
The Asbury Park City Council will meet Wednesday in Council Chambers, located at 1 Municipal Plaza.
The closed executive session begins at 4 p.m. and is followed consecutively by the 6 p.m. public workshop and 7 p.m. regular meeting.
Items on the agenda include:
• Executive session discussions pertaining to City Manager’s performance review, contract negotiations for iStar’s parking agreements, waterfront redevelopment amendments, union contracts, a tax abatement for Fasano Properties’ Habitat for Humanity project, and attorney-client privilege surrounding the Westside Community Center.
• The workshop meeting will include a presentation by Interfaith Neighbors for changes made to the Turf Club development project on Springwood Avenue. Those changes include the renaming of the owner occupied townhomes that will now feature a garage apartment; with the option to be used as an income property.
• The regular meeting will include votes on budgetary matters, and the following:
• Resolutions Resolutions awarding a $10,000 Professional Service Contract to Parlor Gallery to further the downtown Public Art initiative, referring the proposed Waterfront Redevelopment Plan amendments to the Planning Board for review, and changes to the Madison Marquette Fourth Avenue Pavilion redevelopment plan, which include a 5,742 square foot reduction of the proposed roof deck and the relocation of a handicapped accessible ramp.
• The public will have the opportunity to ask question and make comments prior to the final vote on the following ordinances:
• The creation of a restricted handicapped parking space for use by 1021 Third Avenue; changes to the Vital Statistics code that establishes a $15 fee for any changes to birth, death or marriage certificates; and the removal of three street parking spaces to accommodate Sackman Enterprises residential development at 700 Bangs Ave.
