Swearing in ceremony; Resolution to name Quinn Deputy Mayor on agenda
The Asbury Park City Council’s reorganization meeting is scheduled to take place at noon Thursday in council chambers at City Hall.
A public participation session is scheduled as the last item on the agenda. Items on the agenda for the meeting include:
• Oaths of office to be taken by Council Members Yvonne Clayton, Jessie Kendle, Amy Quinn and Joe Woerner.
• Oath of office to be taken by Mayor John Moor.
• A resolution to appoint Councilwoman Amy Quinn as Deputy Mayor.
• Drawing to determine which council member will serve a four-year term. The other three members will serve two-year terms.
• A resolution to appoint Social Services Director Anthony Nuccio as the Acting City Manager.
• Several resolutions to appoint professionals, including the city attorney, deputy city clerk, registrar, auditor, special tax counsel, chief financial officer, tax collector, tax assessor, and a fund commissioner and alternate to the city’s intergovernmental insurance fund.
• A resolution to temporarily adopt a new City Code.
• Resolution to appoint members to the city’s planning board and zoning board of adjustment.
• An announcement of Mayor John Moor’s selection to appointment Garrett Giberson as the city’s director of the city’s office of emergency management.
• Resolutions to establish the 2015 meeting schedule, designate official newspapers for public noticing, designate official depositories, adopt a cash management plan, adopt a temporary operating budget, and establish a rate of interest to be charged on delinquent taxes.
