On agenda: 2014 Skate & Surf Festival, Summer CO's
The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to meet Wednesday in council chambers at City Hall. A workshop session will start at 6 p.m. and a regular council meeting at 7 p.m.
Public participation takes place at the beginning of the regular meeting. There are no items on the agenda for executive session discussion.
Items on the agenda for both the workshop and regular meeting sessions include:
• Special event applications for the 79th Annual Easter Pageant & Egg Hunt, the 2014 Skate & Surf Festival, and the 23rd GLBT Pride Parade and Festival.
• Possible introduction of an ordinance that would make it easier for landlords to lease their properties on a short-term basis in the summer by granting one certificate of occupancy [CO] for the season.
• A discussion with City Redevelopment and Planning Director Donald Sammet on the city’s participation with the county on their Master Plan Update.
• A discussion of the agreement for Realty Data Services to conduct annual property inspections as mandated in the new countywide property tax assessment system.
• The council will vote on several resolutions, including one to amend temporary appropriations for the 2014 budget and one to transfer reserve budget funds from the 2013 budget to the 2014 budget.
