Three Asbury men were wounded in mid-day gunfire on Sunday in the 900 block of Mattison Avenue, according to Charles Webster, spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, Webster said.

The three victims are all in their twenties and their injuries are non-life-threatening, he said. One man was taken to an area hospital for treatment, according to Webster.

Asbury police received the report of gunshots fired at 12:35 p.m., and found the three victims in front of 926 Mattison Avenue, Webster said.

Asbury Park police and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office are “continuing an active and ongoing investigation,” he said.
