Two Women Face Prostitution And Cocaine Charges
Ocean PD solicitation and drug arrests within one week's time frame
A Toms River woman was arrested Tuesday night for prostitution and drug possession, according to a news release from the Ocean Township Police Department.
Marina Sviridenko, 28, was charged with possession of cocaine and engaging in prostitution, officials said.
Sviridenko was stopped near 7:09 p.m. in the area of Allen Avenue. An investigation also found that she had an active warrant for her arrest.
Sviridenko was released on a criminal summons pending a future court date and was remanded to the Tinton Falls Police Department’s custody.
Detective Michael Legg and Patrolman Dean Schoch investigated.
The arrest is the second case involving prostitution within a week.
On April 25, Krystal M. Waz, a 28-year-old Oakdale, Pa, woman was arrested for soliciting prostitution, as well as obstruction, possession of cocaine, and drug paraphernalia following a subsequent investigation related to a motor vehicle stop, officials said.
The vehicle’s driver Piper Renner, 34, of Collingswood, was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, officials said.
Renner, who was detained near 11:02 p.m. in the area of Route 35 and Sunset Avenue, had dropped off Waz along Sunset Avenue, officials said. She also received a motor vehicle summons for having a controlled dangerous substances in a vehicle.
Renner and Waz were released on a criminal summons, pending a future court appearance.
Detectives Michael Legg, Jesse Orbach, Raheem Carter, Patrolman Nicholas Castellano,and Dt. Sgt. Gregory Tongring investigated.
