United For Puerto Rico Benefits
Live Life Moving & Babes In Business host fundraising events
Two City-based ventures are offering opportunities to raise money in support of United For Puerto Rico, created by the Caribbean island’s first lady Beatriz Rosselló to aid in recovery efforts following hurricanes Irma and Maria’s devastation.
The New York Times and Fortune respectively reported Monday that there are signs of a mental health crisis with many residents showing signs of post traumatic stress, and that 52 percent of the US territory remains without power after the no bid $300 million contract with Montana based energy company Whitefish was cancelled.
On Wednesday, the Babes In Business join Smith in hosting a pizza and dancing benefit event at Porta Asbury Park, located at 911 Kingsley Street. The event features live music, raffle prizes, a photo booth, and pay-what-you-want pizza with all proceeds going to support hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico.
