Victims of last night’s shooting identified
One pronounced dead; other remains in hospital
The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office has released the names of the two victims of last night’s shooting. One of the men has died, while the other remains in the hospital.
Orlando Rowe, 30, of Bridgeport, Conn., was pronounced dead due to multiple gunshot wounds at 9 p.m., about 90 minutes after the shooting occurred, said Charles Webster, public information officer for the Prosecutor’s Office.
The other victim, Daquin Calhoun, 23, of Freehold Borough, is still being held at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Webster said, and is suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
An officer from the Asbury Park Police Department responded last night after hearing gunshots at 7:22 p.m., Webster said. He investigated and found the two victims on the ground in front of a residence at 1404 Mattison Ave., Webster said.
