Volunteers Sought To Lay Flags At Mon Memorial Park
VFW Commander Brogna: We are hopeful to place thousands of flags
The Asbury Park Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Harold Daley Post 1333 is leading an effort in conjunction with area scouting organizations, Monmouth University, City and County volunteers to garner help in placing flags on the graves of those who served the nation.
In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, the joint volunteer effort will be held 3 p.m. Friday at Monmouth Memorial Park, located at 4201 Route 33 in Tinton Falls.
Brogna said those interested in volunteering can report directly to the park. Flags will be supplied to mark the veteran’s graves.
“We are hopeful to place thousands of flags at the markers of our fallen veterans,” Brogna said.
