With Bamboozle now open, Asbury streets surprisingly quiet
On first day of the festival, public appears to heed warnings not to drive into city — at least for now.

With thousands lining the boardwalk waiting to enter the Bamboozle festival which just began at 5 p.m., the streets of Asbury Park east of Main Street were surprisingly quiet.
At 4:45 pm, the southern entry to Asbury Park on Main Street from Ocean Grove had little traffic, as shown in photo above. Parking spaces abounded in the downtown business district, as the public apparently heeded warnings not to drive into Asbury Park — at least at the beginning of today’s Bamboozle action.
The three-day festival opens at 2 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday.
