Presentations on COPS grant, Springwood Ave. redevelopment on agenda
The city council is scheduled to meet tonight in council chambers at City Hall. A closed executive session will start at 5 p.m., followed by a workshop session at 6 p.m. and a regular council meeting at 7 p.m.
The following items are on the agenda:
• A presentation from prospective Springwood Avenue developers.
• Public hearings and final votes on ordinances regarding sidewalk signs and vending on the beach front.
• A presentation on a COPS grant from Police Chief Mark Kinmon.
• Introduction of an amendment to the city’s towing ordinance.
• A redevelopment entity review of the Stone Pony Summer Stage, from redevelopment director Donald Sammet and Madison Marquette.
• A presentation on the demolition of the Boston Way Village from acting Asbury Park Housing Authority director Tyrone Garrett.
• A presentation on beach replenishment from City Engineer Joe Cunha.
• In closed executive session, the council will discuss a waterfront surface parking lot agreement and a drainage agreement with the Lofts at Asbury Park LLC.
