Parking, PILOT, Shared Police Vehicle Maintenance agreement on Agenda
The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to meet Wednesday in council chambers at City Hall, located at 1 Municipal Plaza.
A closed executive session will start at 4:30 p.m., followed by a public workshop session at 6:30 p.m. and the regular council meeting at 7 p.m.
Public participation takes place at the beginning of the regular meeting. Items on the agenda include:
• Executive Meeting discussions include personnel matters; contract negotiations with Carter Sackman for the Savoy Theater, the Boston Way PILOT request, Madison Marquette First Avenue Pavilion Certificate of Completion, 700 Cookman Ave tax abatement, and 603 Lake Ave. Redevelopment; as well as the Springwood Avenue Park professional services litigation and Famularo Disciplinary proceeding.
• Work session discussions will address follow up issues from the Monday Workshop Meeting and matters by the governing body.
• The Regular Meeting kicks off with awards for the 2015 Holiday Decorating Contest.
• The consent agenda vote on routine matters include special events, budgetary matters, Parking Advisory Committee appointments, a $500 appropriation for the Parking Utility Operating fund, rejection of vehicle maintenance and repair bids, as well as a rejection of bids for computer maintenance.
• Individual votes on routine matters include budgetary matters, awarding vehicle collision repair contract, a shared service agreement with Neptune for police vehicle repairs, contracting for IT services, special conditions for the House of Independents Liquor License, application for Urban Aid via the state’s Department of Transportation for fiscal years 2011 and 2012, application for a FEMA an Assistance to Firefighter’s grant, public health nursing contract, a redevelopment agreement for 603 Lake Ave, Boston Way PILOT, Green Acres amendment, and Cross River Fiber rights-of-way agreement.
• An amendment for a 2013 bond appropriated for work reconstruction of the Sunset Lake footbridge will be introduced. The ordinance includes an increased $550,000 appropriation.
• The public will have a chance to ask questions or make comments prior to the final vote by the City Council on the new Traffic and Parking regulations as well as on the fee schedule for Motor Vehicle Lockout Services.
