Ocean Township Police Department issues snow alert

stay off roadways until storm passes

Ocean Township Police Department has issued a snow alert.

The slushy wet snow is causing hazardours road conditions, according to officials.unnamed

“At this time we have been answering calls for wires down, motor vehicle crashes and cars that have run off roadways,” Det. Lt Timothy Torchia said in the news alert.

The department is asking that motorists stay off the roadways until the snow storm clears.

“If you don’t need to go out please stay home as the weather should be improving by the afternoon,” Torchia said.

Those parked on ‘no parking during snow’ streets are being asked to move their cars so plows can begin clearing the roads.
