Fifth Avenue Pavilion Band Shell & Summer Rental guidelines on agenda

The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to hold a workshop meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in council chambers at City Hall, located at 1 Municipal Plaza.

The public participation session takes place near the end of the meeting, after comments from city officials. Items on the meeting’s agenda include:

• Special event applications for the annual APFI free Movies on the Beach, Surfing for Vision, the Historical Society’s Art on the Boardwalk, a Sunset Mind Travel ‘Silent’ Piano Concert, a State of Education Address, Run for the Arts 5K, Global Mala Yoga Festival, and a March of Dimes Bark for Babies event.

• Madison Marquette will present its plans to renovate the Fifth Avenue Pavilion Band Shell.

• Property Maintenance Director Robert McKeon and Planning Director Michele Alonso will discuss the summer rental ordinance.
