Asbury Together tops Nov 8 Election Ballot Lineup
Citizens for Asbury follows as Rogers appeal gets Tuesday hearing
The Nov. 8 Asbury Park City Council ballot lineup has been set by Municipal Clerk Cindy Dye.
Through a randomly drawn process, the Asbury Together ticket consisting of incumbents Amy Quinn, Yvonne Clayton and Eileen Chapman won the top slot.
They will be followed by the Citizens for Asbury ticket, comprised of Daniel Harris, Stephen Williams and Kevin Saunders Jr, according to Dye.
Next comes the individual candidate line up of Ketsia Beaubrun and then Doug McQueen, who were previously reported as running on the AP Future ticket along with Tracy Rogers. Rogers has been disqualified from running in the race due to an insufficient amount of qualifying signatures.
Dye said late Friday afternoon that she received no paperwork with regard to a ticket by the three candidates, contrary to an email from candidate Doug McQueen.
“I am running with Tracy Rogers and Ketsia Beaubrun as the “AP Future” candidates,” McQueen wrote in the Sept. 6 correspondence. “AP Future will focus on following through with our City plans in a way that is transparent and inclusive of ALL Asbury Park residents.”
McQueen could not be reached via telephone at the time of this posting.
Rogers, who is appealing his disqualification, said he was unaware that the AP Future ticket paperwork had not been filed.
Both Rogers and Dye confirmed that the appeal is slated to be heard Tuesday.
