Below is a list of Allenhurst Police Department crime reports from April 6 to 26:
APRIL 6
•Police took a report of a theft that took place at an Allen Avenue construction site. Police are asking all residents to report any individuals seen in/or around any construction site in town, after normal working hours. Captain Michael Schneider is investigating the theft.
APRIL 9
•A 27-year-old Neptune man arrested on an outstanding Eatontown warrant following a motor vehicle violation stop. Locally, he was issued traffic summonses for operating an unregistered vehicle, driving with an expired driver’s license, and driving while suspended by Patrolman Anthony Carafa.
APRIL 11
•Patrolman Anthony Carafa and K9 Bia assisted Deal Police Department with a requested vehicle search and an Allenhurst matron assisted in search after the female’s arrest.
•A 28-year-old Asbury Park man was charged with driving while unlicensed [never having had a license] after a motor vehicle stop for an equipment violation. He also was issued summonses for maintenance of lamps and driving while unlicensed by Patrolman Scott Rapolla.
•Patrolman Rapolla responded to a minor two vehicle crash at the Corlies/Main intersection. There were no injuries and no summonses issued to either driver.
APRIL 12
•An investigation remains open after a car full of juveniles were pulled over on a traffic violation. Alcoholic beverages found in the vehicle were confiscated and the driver was issued a traffic summons for having too many passengers in a motor vehicle. Patrolmen Carafa and Rapolla investigated.
•Patrolman David Lipari responded to a Cedar Avenue residence following the report of a suspicious person on the property. It was determined that the individual was conducting a home inspection.
•A 20-year-old Ocean Township man was arrested on drug charges following a speeding violation. Police took possession of marijuana found inside the vehicle after observing the odor of burn marijuana coming from the vehicle. He was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, speeding, and having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle by Patrolman Lipari.
APRIL 13
•While on early morning patrol, an officer was flagged down by a subject on Main Street. A taxi was called for a 32-year-old East Brunswick man was found to be intoxicated and lost. Patrolmen Rapolla and Lipari were involved.
•Patrolman Michael DiBona issued a warning to a 36-year-old New York man found walking on the train tracks.
APRIL 14
•Patrolman DiBona, in coordination with a U.S. Treasury Department agent, documented a fraud report from a resident in reference to a possible identity theft incident.
APRIL 15
•Detective Lipari is investigating a fraud report from a resident in reference to a possible stolen identity/theft case.
APRIL 16
•After responding for an assault call at a Main Street business, it was determined the incident occurred in West Allenhurst. The investigation was turned over to Ocean Township Police Department. Captain Schneider was the involved officer.
APRIL 17
•Patrolman Carafa and K9 Bia responded to a Deal Police Department request to assist with a vehicle search.
APRIL 18
•A 42-year-old Lincroft man was charged with speeding and driving while suspended following a motor vehicle stop. He was transported via taxi from the location. Captain Schneider was the involved officer.
•Two adults found in the back seat of a vehicle parked in a vacant JCP&L parking lot were strongly advised about trespassing on private property & sent on their way by police officers. Patrolman Rapolla investigated.
APRIL 19
•An anonymous report resulted in four juvenile observed walking on the NJ train tracks being strongly advised about trespassing on the tracks and notification of their parent. Sgt. James Rogers was the investigating officer.
April 20
•A 39-year-old Long Branch man was charged with unlawful use of a cell phone while operating a vehicle and driving while unlicensed following a motor vehicle stop. The vehicle was released to a properly licensed driver. Patrolman DiBona was assisted by Sgt. Rogers.
•A 25-year-old Asbury Park man was charged with improper display of license plates and driving while unlicensed [never having had a license] following a motor vehicle stop. Patrolman Rapolla was the involved.
APRIL 22
•Patrolman Carafa and K9 Bia assisted the Ocean County Prosecutors Office with a narcotics assignment at an Ocean County High School due to the ongoing heroin problem in the area.
APRIL 23
•Police responded to a Main Street apartment for a report of a possible intruder. After officers checked the area without locating a suspect it was determined there was a delay in reporting the incident. Residents and business owners are reminded to immediately call police when an incident occurs because a delay can make the difference in the apprehension of a suspect. Patrolman Carafa and K9 Bia responded and were assisted by Patrolmen Lipari and Marc Eustace.
APRIL 25
•A 29-year-old Lakewood man was charged with speeding and driving while suspended following a motor vehicle stop. Patrolman Wray Burritt was assisted by Patrolman Carafa.

From April 6 to 26 police responded to 11 residential and commercial alarm calls; reported seven borough ordinance violations; arrested seven other individuals on various contempt of court warrants, two of which were committed to the Monmouth County Jail; and had seven instances of assisting other agencies.
