From Aug. 5 through 15, the Allenhurst Police Department reported the following incidents:
• Aug. 5: After stopping a 28-year-old Maryland man for not wearing a seatbelt, officers determined he was driving while unlicensed; driving while suspended; and driving with a suspended vehicle registration. His vehicle was impounded and he was released after being issued four motor vehicle summonses. Patrolman Rapolla was the investigating officer.
• Aug. 10: Allenhurst police arrested a 39-year-old Tinton Falls woman on an outstanding warrant out of Tinton Falls during the course of a motor vehicle stop. She was taken into custody, processed and released after posting cash bail. There were no local summonses issued. Ptl. Rapolla was the arresting officer.
• Aug. 10: After checking on a suspicious vehicle parked in a borough-owned lot during the late-night hours, the Allenhurst police arrested a 52-year-old Landing man for trespassing. He was processed and released on a summons complaint with a pending court date. Ptl. Burritt was the arresting officer and was assisted by Special Officer Carafa.
• Aug. 11: Police responded to a report of a wild animal that made its way into a local residence. Officers responded and were able to capture the animal. The animal was set free without any injury. Responding officers were Sergeant Rogers and Patrolman Scamporino.
• Aug. 11: After stopping a vehicle because its registration was expired, and police arrested a 38-year-old Asbury Park man on an outstanding warrant out of Neptune City. He was taken into custody without incident, processed and released on cash bail. He was issued an Allenhurst traffic summons for the expired registration. Scamporino was the arresting officer and was assisted by Rogers.
• Aug. 12: After stopping a 36-year-old Long Branch man for failing to yield to a pedestrian on Ocean Avenue, police subsequently found him to be unlicensed as well as driving while on the revoked list. He was released on-scene with three traffic summonses and given a court date. The vehicle was released on the scene to a licensed driver. Carafa was the investigating officer, with assistance from Rapolla.
• Aug. 13: Police stopped a 35-year-old Neptune woman and found she was driving with a suspended license. After police spoke to her passenger, a 32-year-old Neptune man, they arrested him for giving false information of a law enforcement officer, specifically a false name. Police found multiple warrants for his arrest from Eatontown. He was taken into custody without incident and posted cash bail on all warrants. He was issued a criminal complaint for hindering his own apprehension and the driver was issued a traffic summons for driving while suspended. Rapolla was the arresting officer and was assisted by Patrolman Lipari.
• Aug. 15: After investigating a 44-year-old North Heldon man as a suspcisious person, police arrested him on an outstanding warrant out of Waldwick. He was taken into custody, processed and released after posting cash bail. There were no local charges filed. Patrolman DiBona was the investigating officer.
• Aug. 15: Police arrived on the scene of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Corlies and Norwood avenues. Neither party was injured, but one vehicle was towed from the secene. The driver of one vehicle received a traffic summons for driving with an expired driver’s license and the other received a summons for failing to yield right of way at an intersection. Carafa was the investigating officer and was assisted by Scamporino.
• From Aug. 5 through Aug. 13, the Allenhurst police arrested three additional individuals on contempt of court warrants.
