Asbury man faces charges for stabbing outside of night club
Victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries
A 29-year old city man allegedly stabbed another man outside of the Cascada Nighclub on Main Street early Monday morning, according to police.
Manuel Tirado-Silva, Asbury Park, was allegedly involved in an altercation inside the club with a 29-year-old Hispanic male from Red Bank, said Asbury Park police Capt. Marshawn Love. Tirado-Silva was removed from the club after the incident by club employees, he said.
As the victim exited the bar outside of the club around 2:10 a.m., Tirado-Silva stabbed him in his face and body with a knife multiple times, Love said.
The victim was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center with non-threatening life injuries, Love said. Love was unaware if the man had been released.
Tirado-Silva was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
He was taken to Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of $110,000 bail with no option to post 10 percent, Love said.
