Asbury Park shooting victim remains in critical condition
Tips in Sunday shooting can be made to APPD & Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office
A 24-year-old city resident remains hospitalized following gunshot wounds sustained at Frederick Douglas Apartments Sunday, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Spokesman Charles Webster.
The Asbury Park Police Department responded near 8:28 p.m. to the Prospect Avenue located apartment complex for the report of a shooting, Webster said.
“Upon their arrival, patrol officers found a 24 year-old city resident suffering from a gunshot wound,” Webster said. “The subject reported that he was accosted by two men in the apartment complex’s courtyard before being shot.”
The man remains in critical condition and the two suspects remain at large.
The investigation is being led by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office in conjunction with the Asbury Park Police Department.
