Chocolate Sage holds free tasting Saturday
Harrison: I am compelled to do chocolate
For resident Donna Harrison chocolate is much more than a food flavor.
“It is to be enjoyed by all of your sense,” Harrison said. “It is visually artistic. You can enjoy the taste while hearing that satisfying crunch and the smell. It is just a complete experience that bring all your senses to the table.”
The local chocolatier will hold a free tasting from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday just in time for the Easter holiday at her Main Street Chocolate Sage Kitchen Studio Store.
What started as a life-long hobby grew into years of study to master her craft. Harrison opened Chocolate Sage in January.
“I am compelled to do chocolate,” Harrison said. “This is what I wake up thinking about, this is very much what I want to do.”
Harrison received her training through Ecole Chocolat in Vancouver BC, studied at the French Culinary Institute in New York, and earned the Master Chocolatier designations from Ecole Du Grand Chocolat Valrhona à Tain L’Hermitage France.
Aside from the point of sale items, Chocolate Sage provides small group tutorials in its professional chocolate kitchen, and catering for special events and corporate affairs.
Chocolate Sage is located at 1006 Main Street. The hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information or to place orders, call 732-807-4535, email info@chocolatesage.com or visit www.chocolatesage.com.
