The Asbury Park City Council has announced it will no longer hold a Workshop meeting in between its Wednesday Executive session and Regular session.

The 6: 30 p.m. public workshop was held to address follow-up matters from the Monday night meeting but officials said it became unnecessary.

In the past few weeks, follow up on matters from the Monday night meetings have lasted 10 to 15 minutes, leaving an average of 15 to 20 minute lag before the Regular meeting 7 p.m. start time.

The change will begin next week.

The City Council Workshop session will be held 6 p.m. Feb. 22, followed by 4:30 p.m. Feb. 24 Executive Session and the 7 p.m. Regular meeting, City Clerk Cincy Dye said.
