City officials have launched an informal survey to gauge interest for a dog park within city limits.

Residents are being asked to click ok if amenable and then answer two questions: In which of the four city neighborhoods do they reside and whether or not they own a dog.

Please only one response per household, officials said.

City Manager Michael Capabianco said no location has been determined.

In 2012, city plans to create a dog park in Library Square Park were thwarted and in 2013, city plans to create a dog park in Sunset Park stalled.

The city does have a Dog Beach, located at 8th Avenue. During the summer season, licensed dogs are allowed on the beach from 6 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. daily. In the off season, Oct 1 to May 15, dogs are permitted on the beach all day long

October 1st through May 15th, dogs are allowed on the Boardwalk and on the 8th avenue Dog Beach all day.
