Thomas Beerman, 22, of Neptune City was charged with three counts of burglary, motor vehicle theft, criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools, Ocean Township Police Department spokesman Det. City resident Christopher Sperling, 32, was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and hypodermic syringes in Neptune Township. He was released on a complaint summons with a scheduled to appear at a future court date.

Faller said a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer was stolen from an Eisele Avenue home at approximately 2:15 a.m. May 26.

“While on scene officers also determined that several vehicles on the street were entered and personal belongings taken,” Faller said.

At approximately 4:25 am, officers from the Neptune Township Police Department responded to the area of Spray Avenue in Ocean Grove in reference to a suspicious vehicle, Faller said.

The men were found in the stolen vehicle and placed under arrest. Faller said stolen items from the earlier Ocean Township car burglaries were found inside the stolen vehicle.
