The Asbury Park City Council has plans to revive three former citizen advisory committees. Applications are currently being accepted.

Residents interested in joining the Budget Committee, the Public Safety/Code Committee and the Parking Committee can pick up an application at the city clerk’s office at 1 Municipal Plaza between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m Monday through Friday.

Community members on the Nextdoor.com site can download the form from the “public documents” section and either e-mail it to City Clerk Stephen Kay at Stephen.Kay@cityofasburypark.com, or hand deliver it to the city clerk’s office at 1 Municipal Plaza.

Applications can also be mailed to the Asbury Park City Clerk’s Office, One Municipal Plaza, Asbury Park, NJ, 07712.

Size limits for the committees have not yet been decided.

“We are just starting the discussion on what we would want them to look like,” said Councilwoman Amy Quinn at last week’s council meeting.
