Fasano wants liquor license extended to Cookman
Application expands alcohol sales from Bond Street Bar
Developer Patrick Fasano has filed an application with the city to extend his liquor license at the Bond Street Bar into an adjacent building [above] he owns on Cookman Avenue.
Liquor licenses can be extended to contiguous properties that a license holder owns or leases.
“He has a commercial building next to the Bond Street Bar that fronts on Cookman Avenue,” City Clerk Stephen Kay said of Fasano. “He wants to extend the liquor license into that building and then you can enter on Cookman or Bond Street.”
Fasano [right] declined comment until after the City Council takes action on his application. The item is listed on tonight’s council agenda.
Fasano’s Bond Street Bar is located on Bond Street between Cookman and Mattison avenues. The Cookman Avenue building where he proposes the license extension is next to America’s Cup coffeehouse. The current commercial tenant on the ground floor is Alan and Suzi.
In recent months, two other commercial tenants moved from the building leaving a ground floor vacancy. Russo Music moved to the new Lakehouse building on Lake Avenue across from Wesley Lake. Hold Fast Records relocated to a few doors down on Cookman Avenue next to the Twisted Tree Cafe.
