Suspect Sought in Tuesday Shooting Along Main Street
Officials: A Male Victim sustained non life threatening injury to the leg
A joint investigation has been launched into the Tuesday afternoon shooting outside Kennedy Fried Chicken and Pizza, located at 1400 Main Street, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni announced in a written news statement.
An unidentified male victim sustained non life threatening injury to the leg, according to the report.
Asbury Park Police Department responded to a near 4:06 p.m. call to the location that shots had been fired. Officers located a 2017 Nissan Altima, which sustained a single gunshot to the driver’s side door, officials said. A gunshot was also located on a garbage can near the south side of 1400 Main Street.
At approximately 5:35 p.m., the victim, who did not own the vehicle, arrived at the Neptune Township Police Department and was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment.
