Madison Marquette Launches The Asbury Athletic Club
Outdoor Calisthenics, Yoga, MMA & CrossFit Offered Along AP Boardwalk
Weather permitting, health and fitness buffs can opt out of the gym in lieu of waterfront exercise.
Asbury Park boardwalk redeveloper Madison Marquette has launched The Asbury Athletic Club.
Held daily through Labor Day, the outdoor exercise program features everything from yoga and CrossFit to mixed martial arts training and an array of calisthenics, Madison Marquette spokesman Adam Nelson said.
Administered as a walk-up and a membership fitness program, the club’s home base is located on the Sunset Avenue Green Space adjacent to the North Eats Food Truck Courts.
Amanda Feinstein of YOUnique Yoga and her roster of yogis administer the yoga classes, while Jake Butler of Beach Club Fitness and his crew oversee the calisthenic and CrossFit sessions.
Nelson said daily, weekly, and a season pass are available but drop in class attendance requires a 15 minute in advance arrival in order for administrators to outline the guidelines of a particular program.
Yoga rates include once class for $16; five classes for $75; 10 classes for $120; and a $325 seasonal rate.
Beach Club Fitness rates are $20 per class; $70 per week; $180 for 10 classes; and $225 per month.
