Parking, PILOTs, and Housing Authority projects on agenda
The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to meet Wednesday in council chambers at City Hall.
A closed executive session will start at 4:30 p.m., followed by a public workshop session at 6:30 p.m. and the regular council meeting at 7 p.m.
Public participation takes place at the beginning of the regular meeting. Items on the agenda include:
• Executive Meeting discussions regarding contract negotiations with Carter Sackman, and the Asbury Park Housing Authority’s Payment In Lieu of Taxes [PILOT] requests for its Boston Way and Senior Housing facilities.
• Closed session discussions include litigation cases involving an unidentified company doing business as SUP Asbury, the Famularo Disciplinary Proceeding, and special liquor conditions for House of Independents (Biergarten).
• Work session discussions will address follow up issues from the Monday Workshop Meeting and matters by the governing body.
• The regular session meeting includes a grouped resolution vote for the routine matters of setting the 2016 meeting calendar and adopting the Monmouth County Home Consortium’s 2016 Housing and Community Development Action Plan
• Individual votes on routine matters include: bill payments and budgetary matters, vehicle purchases, renewing Delissa Demolition’s solid waste and recycling contract, establishing Boston Way escrow account, Asbury Lanes redevelopment conceptual plans, and senior housing rehabilitation’s proposed PILOT request.
• Parking Regulation changes and motor vehicle lockout assistance fees will be introduced.
• The public will have an opportunity to ask question and make comments before final votes on establishing a new Deputy Municipal Manager salary range and reserving seven parking spaces for city officials at the One Municipal Plaza parking lot.
