The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to meet Wednesday in council chambers at City Hall. A closed executive session will start at 4:30 p.m., followed by a public workshop session at 6:30 p.m. and a regular council meeting at 7 p.m.
Public participation takes place at the beginning of the regular meeting. Items on the agenda include:
• Executive session discussions regarding various redeveloper agreements, contract negotiations, pending litigation, and the sale of 1506 Park Avenue.
• During the regular session the City Council will vote on resolutions to authorize board and committee appointments; a subsequent developer’s agreement to allow a boutique hotel at 210 5th Avenue, an escrow agreement for an outdoor barbeque eatery at Asbury Lanes ; and a use and license agreement for the May 16-17 Skate & Surf Festival.
• Parking changes and vacant property votes are on the agenda as well as a hearing on the execution of the financial agreement and tax exemption for the 210 5th Avenue boutique hotel project.
