The city council is scheduled to meet tonight in council chambers at City Hall. A closed executive session will start at 5 p.m., followed by a workshop session at 6 p.m. and a regular council meeting at 7 p.m.

The following items are on the agenda:

• A presentation on a resolution supporting the Clean Air Act from Kim Pikul from the Center for Biological Diversity.

• A presentation on a central business district [CBD] plan amendment and a redevelopment entity review from redevelopment director Don Sammet.

• A public hearing on an ordinance that would make it easier for landlords to lease their properties on a short-term basis in the summer by granting one certificate of occupancy [CO] for the season.

• The naming of a beach badge design winner, presented by Dennis Carroll.

• In executive session, the council will discuss a waterfront surface parking lot agreement.
