Unknown Man Stabbed At Sewall Avenue Home
APPD: Incident Not Believed To Be Related To Homicide
The Asbury Park Police Department have launched an investigation to find two men suspected of stabbing an unidentified 27-year-old man victim located near 10:38 p.m. at a residence in the 1500 block of Sewall Avenue Wednesday night.
The victim was uncooperative with the investigation and provided limited details in regard to the incident, Department Spokesman Sgt. Michael Casey said.
“He related only that he had been drinking and sustained his injuries by two unknown males,” Casey said. “He sustained multiple lacerations and was taken to a local hospital where the injuries were said to be non-life threatening.”
Casey said the department does not believe the stabbing is related to the homicide that occurred just over ½-mile away that same night along the 100 block of Prospect Avenue. In that case, detectives are looking for who shot Denzel Morgan-Hicks, 27, Asbury Park found dead inside a 2017 Ford Expedition.
Both investigations are ongoing.
