Due to an uptick in reports of unlocked vehicles being entered, Ocean police have issued a public service announcement reminding drivers to lock their cars.

Overnight Tuesday into Wednesday of this week, a few unlocked cars were entered in the Wanamassa section of town just off of Wickapecko Drive, according to a department release.

The release did not state if any items were removed from the vehicles.

Police ask that all residents lock their vehicles, remove valuables, and call the police when suspicious activity is occurring.

If anyone has additional information in regard to the incidents, contact case Detective Michael Melody at 732-531-1428, or dmelody@oceantwp.org.
