Prostitution Arrests Continue in Ocean Township
Three women charged this week for solicitation; 13 in two months
The Ocean Township Police Department made three more arrests this week for solicitation, officials said. The prostitution charges are among 13 arrest of this kind made in May and June alone.
“Ocean Township takes a proactive approach to these types of arrests,” department spokesman Det. Lt. Timothy R Torchia said.
On Monday, Angela Jordan, 34, of Freehold was charged with engaging in prostitution and hindering apprehension at the Super 8 Motel on Route 35.
On Tuesday, Khadijah Womack, 22, of North Carolina was arrested after being stopped in the area of Sunset Avenue following an online investigation by detectives.
And on Thursday, Cynthia Gonzalez, 48, of Asbury Park was arrested for engaging in prostitution and possession of hypodermic syringes at the Super 8 Motel.
All three women were processed and released on summons, pending a future court appearance.
Detectives Michael Legg, Jesse Orbach, Greg Martone and Det Sgt Patrick Martin investigated.
