Comp-time payments, Worker's Comp settlement, & DEP grants on agenda
The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to meet Tuesday in council chambers at City Hall.
A closed executive session will start at 4:30 p.m., followed by a public workshop session at 6:30 p.m. and the regular council meeting at 7 p.m.
Public participation takes place at the beginning of the regular meeting. Items on the agenda include:
• The Executive Session discussions will include contract negotiations for Carter Sackman’s Savoy Theater; Interfaith Neighbors Turf Club residential project and the potential sale of their 1276 Washington Avenue property; iStar’s 1101 Ocean high rise project; and those for professional service contracts.
• Litigation discussions include worker’s compensation cases involving John Moor and Tyrone Smith; the Jason Fazio vs the City of Asbury Park; the Famularo disciplinary proceeding; and special liquor license conditions for the House of Independence.
• The Regular session agenda includes a recognition for St. Augustine’s Church’s 125th anniversary.
• Consent agenda votes on routine matters include those for special events and wedding applications; fee increases; budget appropriations; and comp-time payments for Tom Gilmour, Barbara Kovach-Falco, and to the estate of Randall Hill.
• Individual resolution votes for routine matters include entering into the Department of Defense’s Federal surplus property procurement program; utilizing the $1.1 million Department of Environmental Protection Green Acres grant for the acquisition of Bradley Cove site; an application for a $33,000 Department of Environmental Protection grant for remediation work done at the Springwood Park site; and the worker’s compensation settlement for John Moor.
• New ordinances include a 15-minute parking space near Asbury Roastery along Second Avenue and changes to the Land Development Regulations that include fee increases for site plan applications.
